What materials
can you cut?
Waterjet can cut almost
any material from foam to titanium, stainless steel and inconel.
How thick can it
cut?
We have cut up to
10" of stainless steel.
How much does it
cost?
The cost is determined
for each part based on the type and thickness of the material and the length of
the cut, the quantity of parts to be cut, and the edge finish required. Any
tooling or special CAD costs are added to the first run. Frequently we
will ship you a first article part to verify the profile before we make
production parts.
Is it more
expensive that conventional machining?
Using a waterjet can
cost less if it saves you material costs and machining time, or eliminates
downstream operations. We can "nest" parts very closely to save
material, and often rough cut blanks to save machining time.
Can you do
other types of machining?
Yes, we have a CNC milling
center for second operations such as drilling and tapping and pocket milling.
How can I send
you a file for a quote?
You can fax us a
dimensioned drawing, send a CAD
file by email, send us a pattern, or an actual part that we can scan or
digitize. Please make sure your file is full size and in DXF R14 format.
