Rapid Prototyping

Rapid prototyping is a process that builds a part layer by layer from a 3D CAD file. Our machine is a 3D printer that liquifies and deposits ABS plastic and a soluble support material. For a good article on rapid prototyping in general, see

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rapid_prototyping.

Rapid prototyping can be used to test parts before building an expensive injection mold and to proof a design concept. You can test fit assemblies and make quick, inexpensive modifications. Our ABS parts can be used as vacuum form masters for packaging applications or positives for investment casting.

To get a quote on your prototype part send an STL file to kws@jetpoint.com along with your contact information. Most 3D modeling programs can output an STL file, but we can also take an IGS or develop a 3D model from 2D drawings.
