We at JetPoint Technologies are capable of
taking your part design in AutoCad R14 DXF format if you send it as an
attachment to an E-mail. We also
will work from your crayon-on-wrinkled-napkin sketch; in this case we will draw
your part on a CAD system and fax you a copy of it for your approval before we
cut. A DXF on a floppy disk sent through the mail, UPS or FedEx works just as
well but isn't as fast.
We have the ability to "nest" your parts together very tightly
on a sheet of material in order to get the most parts out of the raw material
and reduce your per-part cost.
We perform a number of second operations, including machining and
assembly. We have a computer controlled vertical milling machine in house
which we use for operations such as face milling, drilling & tapping,
slotting and machining to meet our customer's design demands. One of our
customers has a need for shims of varying thickness. We waterjet the
perimeter shape and face mill to the final dimension, as seen in this photo.
Another customer requires shims for an
aerospace application. We waterjet the phenolic to shape, then machine it
to a compound angle using special vacuum fixturing.
We will also drill and tap mounting holes in the backs of letters for
high quality signage, as in these small polished stainless steel letters for
The Gap.
If you need other work done to your parts
such as tapping, reaming, countersinking, bending; whatever, ask us about it.
If we can't do it in-house, we will get it done by another high-quality shop so
that you can have a ready-to-use component when you get it from us.
We can and will make every effort to supply
you with those difficult-to-make components you just can't seem to get made
elsewhere. If the time frame is a concern we will do everything we can to give
you the shortest turn around time possible.
